A few weeks ago I posted another teapot shaped card, A Very Merry Unbirthday It was
okay but it just didn't have enough Alice in Wonderland charm or Oomph that I needed it to have to really stand out.

A Royal Summons - A Very merry Unbirthday Version 2 |
Not long afer I finished the original card, I ordered some Crafty Secrets Alice in Wonderland stamp sets from SimonSaysStamp.com. These quality stamp sets from Crafty Secrets brand had very large, bold and easy to color images of characters from the book (not the Disney variety). These stamp sets arrived very quickly for international shipping (just 2 weeks!) and I was very excited to use them for a better Alice in Wonderland themed card.
Since I had already purchased a teapot card shape from the Silhouette Online Store, I cut another teapot shaped card from Manila cardstock. I stamped images onto plain white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured them with both Distress Markers and Faber Castell watercolour pencils for deeper shading. The colours were blended using an aqua brush. Her cheeks are deeply blushed as she points angrily at the evidence of painted roses.

The "royal summons" label was cut with a Couture Creations die and stamped from the same Alice in Wonderland Stamp set from Crafty Secrets. It was distressed slightly along the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and raised on foam adhesive. A double bow ribbon was tied and stuck through with a Maya Road Heart pin, which is stuck into the foam adhesive for stability. This pin isn't moving!
Glass drops from Robin's Nest off set scallops at the edges, and a painted rose finishes off the details and angers this queen, she has quite the royal flush!
Maybe someone was caught painting the roses red!
