Just My Type

October Afternoon 9 to 5 Card
This card has me digging into my recent stash of October Afternoon 9 to 5 products and using my latest purchase - a sewing machine!

I've combined bright orange stitching with the mod-vintage paper styles of October Afternoon for a brightly coloured card that's sure to please anyone.

Card detail and side detail were stitched separately, then adhered to card front using dry adhesive.  Strings were left long, then double tied and snipped closely to the paper.

Receptionist/typing woman was trimmed from an 8x8" sheet of the October Afternoon 9 to 5 collection.  Its corners were rounded all except one, where I used the We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper in Stub cut.  Edges were inked using Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad in Tumbled Glass.  This was then adhered using foam adhesive to lift it off the page.

Sentiment was typed using an Olivetti Dora Typewriter, and then trimmed using a paper trimmer.  Hole was punched and brad adhered, with brad tails snipped using a metal nipper.  Brad is from the October Afternoon 9 to 5 Designer Brad selection.

Flag is from the same collection "Little Flyers" and adhered behind main image using hot glue. Coat check ticket from the same collection "Miscellany" set to tie in the orange colour more strongly.
